Science Magazine Explores Beckman Foundation Study On Impact Of Blinded Reviews

Thanks to Science Magazine and reporter Phie Jacobs for their recent article, “Anonymizing research funding applications could reduce ‘prestige privilege,’” a closer look at our recently published study on the impact of blinded reviews on institutional prestige bias. The article includes feedback from several scientists studying inequity in academia, including Dr. Daniel Larremore, Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and the BioFrontiers Institute at the University of Colorado, Boulder, who commented that the study “provides an excellent strategy for mitigating this bias, which funders can use to make their review processes fairer.”
